Matthew Hoyt is a Las Vegas native and Senior Vice President with CommCap Advisors focusing on loan origination. Matthew joined CommCap in 2007 after graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S.B.A. in Real Estate. He has originated and closed loans for life insurance companies, CMBS lenders, local & regional banks, as well as bridge lenders. Matthew is well versed in the underwriting criteria for a variety of property types including office, industrial, retail, self storage, and multifamily projects. In addition to loan origination, Matthew oversees CommCap’s operations, servicing portfolio, and is involved in all short and long-term corporate planning.
Matthew is active in many industry organizations and currently sits as Chair of NAIOP’s Membership/Sponsorship Committee. He also proudly serves on the chapter’s Community Service Committee and is a graduate of NAIOP’s 2009-10 Developing Leaders Institute (DLI). DLI is a rigorous set of educational sessions covering a broad range of disciplines relating to the commercial real estate development process and leadership training.
Matthew also serves on the Executive Advisory Committee for the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies at UNLV and directs the Institute’s Alumni program. He is actively involved with the Institute’s Mentor Program and Real Estate and Business Society.
Matthew is an avid runner and earned Track & Field All-American honors as a sophomore at Pima College in Tucson, Arizona. In his spare time he enjoys the company of family and friends, traveling, working out, and spending the Las Vegas summers by the pool.
